Two Little Indians

Our little Indians were absolutely adorable tonight! They are at such a great age. They had no fear walking up to someone's front door. At one house, the lady handed the girls a piece of candy and then Kenzie reaches into the bowl and grabs more! She is a bit aggressive sometimes, but it's great to see her being independent. She is definitely our sweet tooth girl. We will have to put a limit on her candy intake over the next few days. On the other hand, Sydney likes it, but she seems to know when to say no. Two bites of cookie and she was done. Two bites of candy and she was done. We were walking up to the first door and I said, "Syd, what do you say at the door?" And she said, "Please?" It was so cute! I'm so glad they are learning their manners.

2 Year Pictures

I'm not sure the best way for y'all to be able to see the pics at the Sears website, so let's try this way. Go to www.searsportrait.com and go to log in. Just use my log in and password, which is jrallen773@juno.com and the password is 'password'. Then a picture of Sydney should come up and you can click 'veiw/share photos'. Hopefully this works and you can veiw the adorable photos. They didn't turn out as good as they have before because the girls were in rare form. It was much easier when they would just sit where they put them and not move. Oh well, I know now that those days go by way too quickly.

Jon and I get a night alone! Kristi asked if she and her best friend could take the girls out for dinner (at Chik-fil-A) and to the mall. Of course, we said yes, take them!! So the girls get a night out with their fave babysitter and Jon and I get an unexpected date night. It is pretty sad though, that when we first started talking about what to do, we both thought it would be nice to just stay home. We are either getting old or too busy! I just answered the phone and it was Kristi. My first thought was oh, no, she's going to tell me that she can't take the girls tonight. Luckily, she just wanted to tell me that she would be here to pick them up at 5:30. Sigh of relief!

I sub interpreted at Patrick Henry this morning and absolutely enjoyed it. I remember why I liked working there so much. And now they have a beautiful building where you don't have to walk outside in between classes (which was great today because it's cold and rainy). I think it would be great to go back and work there when the girls are in school. We'll see. I feel overwhelmed thinking about working full-time and making dinners and cleaning the house and helping the girls with school work. Okay, I'm tired just writing that run-on sentence!

When the girls wake up from their nap, Jon and I are taking them to get their 2 year pictures taken. I will put the link to Sears Portraits on another blog and y'all can check them out. I know they will be adorable. I got these cute little bows for their hair (okay, don't say it, I know you are thinking "what hair?"). But hey, I have to do the prissy-dress-up thing sometimes! Anyway, Sydney loves it. Every Sunday morning, she gets so excited about putting her dress on. She takes after me, while Kenzie takes after her Aunt Allison! At least she doesn't fight the dress wearing, but she doesn't get excited about it either.

Well, that's the longest blog I've ever written!
