Whoa...life can slow down now!
The day before we moved into our new home in Caledonia, we were painting in our house and our car was hit in the back by a lumber truck, busting out our whole back window. Our neighbors were like, "welcome to the neighborhood"! No seriously, all our neighbors were so kind. Two even offered to let us use their cars for the week if we needed! Luckily, the lumber company had to pay and they provided a rental for us. But they did call us and ask if we had gotten two estimates on the same day that we were moving in...they were generous, they gave us another 24 hours to get the estimates. Do you read my sarcasm?
A few pics of our living room and the girls' room. I was actually brave enought to do a green accent wall in the living room and it turned out great! My brother-in-law busted his butt the whole weekend before we moved in to get the wainscoting up in the girls' room. He did an awesome job and it looks so great. I'm so pleased with how it turned out. They don't know how to really appreciate it yet, but they will someday. We finally put them in twin beds and they just love their "big" beds! But it makes them look even smaller than they really are. They can sleep sideways and not fall off (which they do most nights)!
Our kitchen has a counter where we put stools and the girls love to sit there and eat, it's the perfect size for them. My kitchen actually has so many cabinets, that some of the cabinets have nothing in them! I never thought that could happen. And Jon loves to remind me that they do not have to get filled anytime soon!
Hopefully, I can get back to regular blogging, since our life is getting somewhat "normal". We have yet to have wireless setup in our home (a two week waiting list!), but I can go to the local coffee shop, Essential Bean, and get on for free. So Jon will be doing lots of bedtimes on his own for the next two weeks!! Haha.
