Update
Well, things are starting to get crazy again. We had settled into a bit of a routine and now we are getting ready to start preview services so our lives will be in an uproar for a little bit. Jon said this weekend that he is almost feeling as stressed as he did when we moved into the new church at Parkway. Only this time, it's all on his shoulders! We are trying to do lots of things in the community to get our name out there and do some service. This morning we provided donuts and coffee to the teachers of the school where we will be meeting and for two Fridays we will be working at the concession stands for the Varsity Football. We will also be giving away the first 1000 hot dogs for free from Journey Church!
We had a mini-vacation this last weekend. It was so wonderful. My parents took the girls and Jon and I went to Lake Michigan for a day and went shopping one day and ate out A LOT!! That's always the best part of vaca anyway! We saw the most beautiful sunset over the lake and I was so bummed that I forgot my camera.
I just got a weekly interpreting job at Grand Rapids Community College on Thursdays and I also talked with the Dept for the Deaf here in MI and they have lots of freelance jobs for me. So that's encouraging, knowing that I now have my foot in the door and that there will be lots of opportunities to come my way.
I got an awesome picture of us and the girls last week with our Journey shirts on when we made a video for Parkway, but I have misplaced my cord that I need to download my pics from the camera to the computer...so you will have to wait a bit for that pic. Hope you all are doing well. Miss you Roanokers A LOT!!!
