Potty Training Poo-Poo's!

Wow! This is even worse than the newborn stage (maybe that's a slight exaggeration, at least now I can sleep through the night after such a tiring day)! You sit on the potty for 15 minutes, reading books and singing, five minutes after we leave the bathroom, they (or one of them) have an accident all over the floor. Are they ever going to get it? We went through seven panties and pants today. By the end of the day, we were just down to panties and shirts. I feel so much appreciation for all you parents who have gone through this already and so much pity for those of you who have not reached this point yet. Hopefully tomorrow I will be a bit more patient. It didn't help that Kenzie had an accident on our bed that leaked all the way through (thank the Lord for mattress covers) and then Sydney colored on her dresser with crayons. I had to add this pic of Syd looking so innocent (and preppy!) just to remind myself that she truly is!!!! As my sister texted to me today: "Just another manic Monday, wish it were Sunday"! So true, so true.

Help Me!

Help me, Marty or April or Ali or somebody!!! I can't seem to leave comments on some blogs but on others I can. The ones that ask for a word verification will not allow me to leave a comment. It says that it cannot log me in, but I'm already logged in under blogger. I went back to blogger and signed out and then back in again and that didn't work. I'm so frustrated. I told Jon I didn't even want to have a blog in the first place and now I'm addicted and going into comment withdraw! Do you guys have any ideas about how to help me? I may not be able to sleep tonight if I can't get this figured out!

Christmas Festivities!

The girls helping with tree decorating.

All dressed up for our first Christmas party!

I love Christmastime! Most importantly, it's great to be reminded of Jesus' birth and why He came. It's exciting to hear songs that remind me everyday of our reasons for celebrating. I'm trying to stay focused, especially now with the girls I want them to know the real reason for all this fun! I love the parties, cookies, decorations, lights...and the girls are catching the spirit too. On the way to a party the other night, we were looking at Christmas lights and we would tell the girls which door to look out of (look out Sydney's door, Kenzie's door, etc.). After a little bit, Kenzie said, "My door, my door too!" Also, at dinner this evening, Kenzie prayed to Baby Jesus (no, she has not seen Talladega Nights!) since we have been talking so much about Jesus as a baby. It's so exciting to see them starting to really understand things. Hope you are all having fun celebrating Jesus' birth with your family and friends. I can't wait to see lots of you when we get home to Michigan for Christmas. Love you guys!
