Keep Praying!!!

The move is still on! We have not yet sold our home in Roanoke, but are still pulling out towards MI on Sunday afternoon. We are still praying for a contract on the house even this week before we leave so that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. We did show the house today and it sounds as though the couple will be making an offer tomorrow! Praise the Lord!
We will send out a support/prayer letter to friends and family...be looking for it in the mail. Also, another answer to prayer, Ben Ward will be joining us on staff for the plant! Jon is ecstatic to have one of his closest friends to make this huge step of faith with...how totally awesome it will be to plant a church with people you love! Keep praying and we will keep you updated. Love you all!

Pray, Pray, Pray!

Okay, real quick update for you all. Everything was falling into place and working out great for our move to Caledonia, when yesterday we got a bomb dropped on us. The people who were buying our house (we were supposed to close next Friday) had their financing refused! That means our house has to go back on the market and we will not have cash from the sale of our home to help with the move and down payment for a home in MI. The house also looks pretty bad to be on the market with all these boxes all over the place and nothing on the walls! Anyway, our realtor felt awful and is actually bringing someone by to see it this afternoon. We know God has bigger and better plans for us, maybe we will get a better offer or maybe He is just working out the timing so we won't have to live in someone's basement and keep our stuff in storage. Man, we really are learning to lean on Him during this time of our lives. It was a huge leap of faith just to say "yes" to church planting and now without having our home sold...God loves to stretch us, doesn't He?

Columbus Pics

Cheesecake Factory

Back to the 70's

What happens when you shop till you drop!

Sorry these pics are so long in coming. As most of you know, Ali and I had the best time in Columbus. As Ali put it, we ate like teenagers. She maintained her weight loss and I gained two pounds! Not really fair, but totally worth it. One week later, I had already lost it. So...we shopped till we dropped and ate till we popped! Our packages actually filled up one whole bed. We decided it was our first annual trip together. And we also decided that in about five years (or however long it takes to save up) we're going on a huge trip to like Hawaii or a cruise or something.

An update on Sydney's lip. We decided to come home from the ER and went to see her doctor the next morning. He told us we did the right thing...they could not have done any stitches inside the mouth anyway. He said she would be much better in about 4 days or so, and she was! Today, you can barely even tell that she had a fat lip. That doesn't keep her from milking it for all it's worth though. When I go to wipe her mouth after she eats, she says, "Careful with my lip, mommy". So cute, but starting to get old already!
