Ben & Sharon Wedding Pics

Blizzard weather, beautiful wedding!
As the snow fell outside, Ben and Sharon wed inside where it was warm and romantic! The wedding was gorgeous and came off without a hitch. Even the blizzard conditions and icy roads could not keep this wedding from being all that Ben and Sharon dreamed. From our end, it was a family effort to pull this thing off. Jon was the best man, the girls were flower girls, I was wedding coordinator (which is way more responsibility than I ever dreamed it could be!), and my mom made the cake and cheesecakes (150 mini individual cheesecakes...yum!). Wow! What a weekend! But all in all, it was fun! AND rewarding to see Ben and Sharon so pleased with how it turned out. As long as the bride is happy...

Welcome back to the real world, Erica!

I'm back! No more splint! The doc said things are looking good and he was very pleased with the scar that's forming. I guess if you have to have scars, then this is a pretty nice one! Ha! But now I have to actually get back to cleaning and cooking! Our Lifegroup brought us meals for 3 weeks and my parents came and cleaned the whole house and made Christmas cookies. I was spoiled for awhile and now have to get back to real life! Actually, it doesn't feel too bad doing normal things, I was starting to get frustrated with my incompetence and unproductiveness!

Here's a cute little pic of the cousins at Micah's birthday party the day after Thanksgiving.

I've been gone for awhile due to having surgery on my wrist last week. That crazy, huge, ugly cyst that I had removed last year came right back, so I had it removed again. Supposedly, my doctor here is a world-renowned hand surgeon. He is very strict too. I had to leave the bandage and splint on for a whole week. When I went in today to have the bandage removed, the doc said I had to wear a splint for another two weeks! I was so discouraged. I'm having trouble keeping my peace and having God's perspective on the whole thing. Jon reminded me today that in the big scheme of life, this is so temporary and unworthy of my frustrating energy. Praise the Lord for church friends who are bringing meals, and addressing my Christmas cards, and just praying for us all the time. I may not update for awhile since it's a pain to type one-handed!
