Thunderstorm Conversations

Tonight we are having thunderstorms and the girls have been hilarious in their beds. They had just gone to bed when the thunder started, so we heard some "mommy, daddy" coming from their room. Jon goes down there and Syd is saying she's a bit scared while Kenzie asks about the neighbor's dog and if they remembered to take her inside. Her words: "Did our neighbors next door remember to take poor Zeus inside?" Next, Kenzie says to Syd that she doesn't need to be scared because she will take care of her. About fifteen minutes later, Syd calls for daddy again, Jon goes in there and she says, "Can you come take care of me because Kenzie's not...she's sleeping!" Way to go, Kenzie, dropping the ball! You can tell which one of our daughters is compassionate and which one is only compassionate towards animals!

Hey Erica! It was nice to hear from you. It's neat to be able to keep in touch with the blog. We are now in the Glenvar area which is on the West side of Salem. Its definitely in the opposite side of town, but we love it. And my cabinets are a deep red. I really like them and wouldn't change them if I didn't (too much trouble!) Thanks for posting.
